 SPECTRA is the first rod to introduce multi-fiber filament winding to a rod blank with the addition of spectra fiber to the filament wound matrix in the lower section of the rod blank. By adding Spectra fiber to the matrix we have been able to dampen vibrations which effect casting distance and accuracy yet enhances the rods sensitivity. It creates what we call "Selective Sensitivity". The addition of spectra gives you that total feel of what's happening on the other end of the line at all times. So sensitive that we would dare to match its' sensitivity with any other rod on the market. SPECTRA's re-engineered "Comfort Grip" of high grade Portuguese cork and Hypalon now has a 4" removable butt extension which allows the rod to be used in the standard configuration or in the long version for extra leverage and optimum two hand casting. A removeable nylon butt cap in the extension allows for precision balancing to individual requirements and specifications. precision balancing of the standard grip configuration can also be achieved by removing the extension and adding weight directly to the standard length grip. All SPECTRA's feature Fuji Alconite guides at "Concept" spacing, ultra light Fuji ECSM exposed blank reel seats and our proprietary Multi- Modulus tip section for superb lure presentation and control. Until the SPECTRA series came along fish never had it so bad.
